THE UEINZZ THEATER COMPANY HAS EXISTED FOR TWELVE YEARS. IT IS MADE UP BY A COLLECTIVE OF ACTORS FROM THE MOST VARIED WALKS OF LIFE. EACH ONE BRINGS, FROM THEIR OWN TRAJECTORY OF FRAILTY AND MADNESS OR OF LIFE COLLAPSES, A SINGULAR ENERGY AND UNIQUE REPERTOIRE WHICH NOURISHES THE GROUP'S CREATION. OVER THE YEARS THERE HAVE BEEN OVER THAN HUNDRED PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS.

The first three productions were directed by Renato Cohen and Sérgio Penna, with music by Wilson Sukorski. They are: "Ueinzz, viagem a Babel" (Ueinzz, voyage to Babel), "Dédalus," and "Gotham-SP." The troupe has performed at the Tucarena, TUSP, Teatro Oficina, Centro Cultural São Paulo, KVA, Sesc Pompéia, and has toured Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, and Fortaleza. The company was also invited to The Curitiba International Theater Festival in 1999 and to Porto Alegre in Scene in 2003. In 2004, Ueinzz participated in the Cariri Mostra de Artes through the Spinning Stage Project at the SESC. In 2005, the troupe travelled to La Fonderie, invited by the Théâtre du Radeau, in France. The following year, a joint project began with the Franco-Argentine artist Alejandra Riera, which resulted in videos of interviews carried out by the actors in the city of São Paulo, entitled "Enquiry of Our Surrounding." The work was presented in 2007, at Kassel's Documenta XII, in Germany, where the group sojourned and reactivated the interview device initiated in São Paulo. In December of the same year, the company was invited by the German director Schliegensief to participate in Wagner's opera "Ghost Train," at the Sesc Belenzinho. Subsequently, Cássio Santiago assumed the artistic direction of the group, together with the collaborator and dramaturg Elisa Band, and the presented, in November of 2008 and in June of 2009 at the B_arco Cultural Center, a set of open rehearsals and scenic experimentations with "Finnegans Ueinnz," which opened at the Avenida Paulista Sesc during the "Ueinzz Occupation," this past September.
